How Much Laundry Scent Booster Should You Use?
There is no single fragrance level that suits every household. The right amount of laundry scent booster depends on the load, fabrics, drying method and how strong you personally want the finished fragrance to be.
Start with less and adjust gradually
The most reliable approach is to begin with a modest amount, complete the wash and judge the result only after the laundry has dried. If you want a stronger fragrance, increase the amount slightly on a future wash.
This avoids using more product than you need and helps you find a repeatable level for your own machine and laundry.
What affects fragrance strength?
- Load size: a larger load spreads the fragrance across more fabric.
- Fabric type: different fibres can hold and release fragrance differently.
- Drying method: line drying and tumble drying can produce different results.
- Storage: enclosed drawers and wardrobes can make fragrance seem more noticeable when opened.
- Personal sensitivity: one person’s subtle fragrance can feel strong to someone else.
Where should Scentrovert beads go?
Add your preferred amount directly to the bottom of the empty washing-machine drum, then place the laundry on top. Add your normal detergent separately and start the appropriate programme. Do not place the beads in the detergent drawer. Scentrovert does not require a separate laundry bag.
Can you use more for gym clothes or bedding?
You can adjust the fragrance level according to preference, but more is not automatically better. Begin conservatively with any unfamiliar fabric or load type and always follow garment care labels. Scent booster adds fragrance; detergent and the wash cycle perform the cleaning.
Does wash temperature matter?
Use a product intended for your chosen cycle. Scentrovert Laundry® Extra Strong Scent Boosters work at 20°C, but the correct temperature for the laundry itself should be determined by its care labels and level of soiling.
A consistent routine
Once you find the amount you enjoy, use the same scoop or measuring method for similar loads. Keeping the load size and programme reasonably consistent makes the fragrance result easier to repeat.
